1. 4 US Troops Killed in 'Insider Attacks' in Afghanistan
Four U.S. troops fighting with NATO-led alliance were killed in a suspected "insider" attack in Afghanistan on Sunday. This brings the total number of deaths this weekend alone caused by Afghans turning on their allies to six.
2. Teen Charged with Chicago Bomb Plot Due in Court
The Chicago teen accused of trying to blow up a car bomb near a popular bar will appear in federal court today. Police say Adel Daoud parked a Jeep Cherokee outside the bar on Friday night before walking away and pulling what he thought was the trigger. The bomb turned out to be fake and Daoud was arrested as part of an undercover sting.

3. Chicago Teachers Won't Vote on Deal
The Chicago teachers union decided Sunday to continue its strike over teacher evaluations and job security provisions. Mayor Rahm Emanuel said Sunday that he would seek a court order to end the strike, saying it is illegal under Illinois state law.
4. Romney Cancels Campaign Stop in Colo.
Mitt Romney's one campaign event of the weekend was cancelled on Sunday due to an investigation into a plane crash at the Pueblo Memorial Airport in Colorado, where his plane was scheduled to land. Governor Romney was scheduled to hold a rally at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, which is adjacent to the airport.
5. Panda Mei Xiang Gives Birth to Cub
A giant baby panda was born at the Smithsonian National Zoo late Sunday night. Mei Xiang gave birth to the cub at 10:46 p.m. and has been "cradling her cub closely," according to press release from the zoo.
