A bear cub rescued from an Idaho wildfire after suffering burns on its paws has been moved to a wildlife sanctuary and is expected to make a full recovery.
Snowdon Wildlife Sanctuary Director Linda DeEulis says the bear nicknamed "Boo Boo" is being housed in a 2-acre enclosure with another cub and is doing very well. The bear was brought to the rehabilitation area outside McCall on Friday after he spent two weeks recuperating at a Boise humane society shelter.

In late August, the bear was found clinging to a tree in the eastern Idaho backcountry with second-degree burns on all four paws. Efforts to find his mother were unsuccessful.
DeEulis tells The Associated Press she was worried at first about the bear's ability to climb. But she says the first thing he did was scamper up a tree.
